An officer in receipt of a salary not exceeding £1,200

p.a., who does not reside in either Government quarters or a

tenement in respect of which a rent allowance is payable, may

be granted a lodging allowance as follows :-

(a) To a married officer, 10% of his salary subject

to a maximum of $100 p.m.

(b) To other officers (bachelors or officers with no

dependents in the Colony), 5% of his salary subject

to a maximum of $50 per mensem.

Male officers of the Senior Clerical and Accounting

Staff on sterling salaries are eligible for the privileges in

respect of quarters and rent allowances as described above

for Senior Officers.
